lt's a crazy world these days, nothing like most of us have ever experienced and I hope once this is over, we never will again.
This Corona Virus Pandemic has us staying home and cooking, baking and eating more than every before, we have the time to try new recipes. This one was being shared a lot on Facebook and I love apples, I LOVE cinnamon and the word FRITTER called my name

I have been a fan of shortbread for as long as I can remember, that buttery taste, melt in your mouth, I just love them.
There are a million ways to top pretzel rods and the combination of sweet & salty is hard to resist.
When my13 yr old niece asked if we could make popsicles, I said sure and then off we went to buy the ingredients, lemon-lime soda & gummy bears. Hmmmm... pop and candy? It was her recipe so why the heck not. She filled the popsicle molds 3/4 of the way... Dropped a few gummy bears in each one... Put the sticks in and viola......now into the freezer. The hard part is the wait, 10 minutes later...ready yet? 30 minutes later, ready yet? Ok..... now they're ready! Guess what, gummy bears don't freeze, they remain chewy :) Popsicles go fast on a hot summer day!
Thanks to my sweet niece tayah for inspiring this post. xo I was asked by Tre Stelle to test out a couple recipies and of course
I happily obliged. Since most consider cheese an unusual ingredient in desserts I headed right for the dessert recipes, I like unusual. I decided on their Tre Stelle Ricotta & Strawberry Brownie recipe and it didn't disappoint, it was light, not overly sweet and the perfect treat to end our bbq dinner. This is a cheat recipe that I made using Duncan Hines Cake mix.
I plump up the recipe adding extras so it doesn't taste cake mixy and tastes more like homemade but super convenient. These are highly addictive and super easy to make. I made something similiar a few weeks ago with crackers and they were so awesome I decided to try pretzels - YUMM-O!! Let's get started!!
These are just too cute... and they were fun to make!
My nieces (ages 9 & 12) love to make things, do crafts & bake, this was quick, simple and oh so rewarding. Not only do you need peanut butter cups in a variety of sizes and some kisses, you also need a big glass of milk to go with the ones you eat while making these :) This isn't my recipe but I promise to make it, looks so springy doesn't it?
All the information you need is from Kraft Canada - Enjoy! |
