While my sister and her family are vacationing in Hawaii at Disney's Aulani Resort, I was feeling the need to bring a little Hawaii in to my life. The creation of the Hawaiian You'll need ground pork or sausage meat, pineapple, sweet white onion, havarti cheese, buns, bacon and delicious pineapple sauce. I use either one of these amazing sauces on this burger. I get mine at Costco. Both are a little sweet with a slight heat, I eat this sauce with chicken, shish kabobs, pork chops, burgers and it's incredible on shrimp. I spread plain cream cheese on crackers and then top with this - YUM! It's the kind of sauce that would make cardboard taste delicious! Visit the Robert Rothschild Farm to find locations near you that sell this yummy, yummy sauce. I just visited the site for the first time and I'm thinking I'll have to try some of their other products! Lightly oil the grates and grill the onion, pineapple, onions and burgers. Don't you wish you could 'scratch & sniff'? Add a slice of havarti and melt ever so slightly. I spread a spoonful (or spread LOTS) of the pineapple sauce on the top and bottom of the bun and then add then start layering. Now get prepared to tantalize your taste buds, oh yeah! Sweet, spicy, salty, juicy - hellooooo Hawaii !!

I will be making these this weekend. I think I'll buy premade pork burgers but use your idea for everything else. My grocery store carries the Rothschild farm sauces and chutneys and they are all very good.
