These were super duper easy and absolutely delicious! I used boxed cake mix and canned frosting, lazy maybe but it's so easy! I used the new Duncan Hines frosting creations caramel flavor.I was taking them to a bbq and the suv filled up with the mouth water aroma of caramel, I had to resist the temptation to pull off the highway and eat one! I'm such a dope, I didn't take any pictures at all but trust me when I was all finished you would swear I bought them at a bakery. After I baked them and they cooled I poked a hole in each cupcake with the handle of a wooden spoon and poured caramel sauce into each hole...Mmmmmmm Then I mixed up my frosting creations and just piped on the frosting and topped it off with a chocolate covered caramel ball. I really want you to know, I am not a pro, I am just like you I like to bake, I'm not always the best and I always want my cupcakes, cakes cookies etc to look like those pretty ones in magazines and on pinterest. My sister gave me a litte wilton icing kit for my birthday, a couple months ago, before that I always did all my fancy frosting with a ziploc baggie. I say fancy but as you see in the photos they really aren't fancy at all. This one below was drizzled with caramel and I gave it to the photographer *cough *cough *me..... yup, I'm the photographer Don't they look pretty.....no recipe required!
