Oh man this is good, real good....... absolutely delicious & easy to make. I like french toast, we rarely eat it though as I think of it more like a fancy pancake and nothing really special about it until now and wow..... just yummy wow! I recently bought this scratch made Apple Cinnamon bread from a local farm/store/bakery called Apple Land Station, a great place, a hidden gem located right near London Ontario. This place is famous for their Mile High Apple Pies and that my friends was the inspiration for my Apple Cinnamon French Toast. Look at their apple pies........ crazy right? 3.5lbs of apples in every pie....wowsers! The first thing I did was peel and slice 3 apples, tossed them in a fry pan with butter, brown sugar and cinnamon and let them cook away at medium heat and watch them do their magic. I used 6 slices of the delicious apple cinnamon bread but you can use white bread, raisin bread, whatever tickles your fancy. I mixed up my egg mixture, soaked the bread on each side for a minute or so and then the magic........ covered each side of the bread with Panko bread crumbs, MMmmmm crispy. Then into a buttered fry pan...... ok...the drool is starting. A quick stir of the apple mixture and it's lookin' good. Once the apples reach desired tenderness, add a splash of vanilla and remove from heat. Back to the bread.... I let the bread cook about 2-3 minutes on each side until nice golden brown. Now a piece of toast a few apples and a dizzle of the ooey gooey sauce the apples and brown sugar created and BAM!!!!!!!!! H-E-A-V-E-N!! It's warm...sweet...crunchy...oeey...gooey...DELICIOUS!! Apple Cinnamon French Toast No need for maple syrup, the apple cinnamon mixture creates a heavenly sweet syrup for you. Ingredients Apple Mixture
