On Remembrance Day I attended a ceremony at our local cenotaph.

My nephew wrote this poem back in 2011 for a contest the local Legion was running, it won him first prize, I feel proud to share it each Remembrance Day.

I'm just lovin' November so far, only a few days in and it's 22c or 72f, the sun is shining, the skies are blue and the colours of fall are just gorgeous.
Daylight savings has me in a bit of a fluster, I'm pooped at 6pm and ready for bed because it's pitch black out and then I'm up at the crack of dawn. This crazy cycle will take a week or so to get used to. This is sunrise in the backyard.
So what do you do on a beautiful November day... get out there and enjoy it, go for a walk, soak in the warmth of the sunshine and enjoy all it's glory before the dreaded white stuff falls.
