Castello - the cheese company was kind enough to send me a gift box that contained a round of Castello Brie, Castello Olive Oil, recipe cards and 2 movie passes, with drinks and popcorn- woohoo!!
It was a girlfriend's birthday, perfect timing for a girls night out.
Burnt was about a chef, Bradley Cooper, (Mr. Dreamy eyes) and how he once had a successful career but his use of drugs and alcohol blew it all. The story begins with him cleaned up and sober and trying to rebuid his life as a chef in hopes of achieving a 3 star Michelin rating.
His mood swings are up and down and you can feel the stress he is bringing upon himself to reach his goal. I found myself liking his character, then dispising him and then liking him all over again.
Castello cheese was featured in the movie and the visuals of the food were beautifully done.
Now I'm not a professional movie reviewer but this was a good culinary film, Bradley Cooper is super sexy, the characters were believable and I left the theatre starving and inspired to go home and create something.
Stay tuned as I create something Burnt inspired.
You can go to Castello's Burnt page on their website as well to be inspired by some recipies featured in the movie.
