My big plan is to set Christmas up by December 1st this year.
Step 1 - pull out the tree and check the lights. Because we've been in transit for 2 years, everything has been in storage and I'm worried about my beloved tree, I love that tree. I leave the lights on the tree each year because I have about 1500 lights, crazy but it's beautiful. Yesterday we pulled out the tree and WOOHOO, lights worked! Whew..... On to step 2 - bringing up all the Christmas bins from the basement. (I don't like this part!) Back to carrying bins........ ho ho ho... My latest addiction, I swear I can't get enough of this!!
The recipe is HERE. It's incredibly easy and no mess. Find out HERE & thank me later!
While sitting in my office at my desk I have a clear view of the backyard.
I love listening to the birds singing and chirping away happily but those sneaky Blue Jays make me smile constantly. Sometimes I'll hear a muted gurble gooble (hard to describe the sound) and I'll rise to my feet, hoping to catch a glimpse of a wild turkey - nope, it's a Blue Jay. I'll hear a hawk, nope it's a Jay. These guys are master of mimicry. This is your basic, purest mashed potato dish. Add in any extras you like to bring them over the top! The recipe is HERE.
It's a basic tired and true, never fail recipe. Juicy and flavourful!
Get the recipe HERE. The first snowfall is always the prettiest, especially when it's as heavy,
as it is right now. |
