Sherwn Williams and Pottery Barn partnered up together to come up with the Pottery Barn 2014 Spring/Summer Collection. I'm really loving the Functional Gray colour, it's perfect for every room and looks great on the exterior as well!

I have always loved nature and wildlife, I owe that to my dad for piquing my interest at such a young age. This morning we awoke to 2 young deers eating seed from beneath the bird feeders.

By the time I grabbed my camera, one had strolled off to the other side of the yard. I had left out a tray of corn for them as I can hear them at night but it's too dark to capture them on the camera. They seem to have no interest in the corn, it poured rain last night and now the corn is frozen in a big ice cube.

After spending 4 of the last 6 days in Toronto, if there was any doubt before, it's all gone, I am not a city girl.

Too many people that don't smile, too many unthoughtful people looking down just trying to reach their destination. I am sure the transportation system is perfect for getting around, I always felt safe it's just there is no connection.

   I'm a huge advocate of adopting rescue animals from shelters, these pets are not defective instead most often they just need some love and a permanemt home. Take Big Boy for instance, he was dumped off at a shelter at 2 years old because they no longer wanted a cat. I was volunteer with a rescue group and he was a big loveable guy just wanting some attention. he was adopted out and within a month, 2 days before Christmas I got a call from his new family to come and get him, they didn't want him anymore. I went to pick him up and they had him housed in a spare bathroom, window open, litter box overflowing and he was skin and bones. I wrapped him in a blanket, put him in a crate and rushed him home. Immediately the next morning he was taken to a vet, put on IV and the prognosis wasn't good, he was emaciated, dehydrated, his kidneys were shutting down and he had lost all hope.

Wiarton Willie, our Ontario groundhog predicted 6 more weeks of winter.
I refuse to accept that, what does a groundhog know anyways? I think that since winter started early this year, spring should start early too!
I have the cottage life on my mind, easy interiors, fresh air, hop on a hammock, flop on a sofa or read a good book on the dock.
