So here is the before & after of this little cabinet that was my entry in the Habitat for Humanity - ReStore contest. You can read for about the rules etc. HERE
I sanded, repaired and painted the entire cabinet. I kept the handle because I loved it but I moved it up higher and spray painted it. You can't see it but the 'before' had a wooden apron along the bottom of the cabinet, I removed it and added casters so it could be rolled around.

I refinished the entire inside, lowered the shelf so that I could add a wine glass holder and enough room for extra glasses. I added an LED light at the top for a cool effect  :)

I added a towel bar on the side and a tile to the top of the cabinet to add durability when serving beverages, you know.... that wine spillage   :)

It was a fun contest and I plan on entering again next year, now I've got my fingers crossed that I win the Golden Hammer Award, the visitors to the Home Show were the voters. I have my acceptance speech written, just in case :)  I'll keep you posted!
