Pickin' Strawberries & more.

This is one of my favourite ways to spend a day...

Picking stawverries, walking through the greenhouse and enjoying a treat.

You may think strawberry picking is just in late spring...nope, their second batch is all ripe 'n ready. They are big, red, and juicy sweet.

Heeman Greenhouses & Strawberry Farm is my favourite place to go,
 the strawberries, the plants, flowers and the hummingbirds.
 It's all so wonderful and 10 minutes away in Southern Ontario.

First I tour the greenhouses.... get ready, I have quite a few pictures.

I could enjoy the flowers for hours.

This place is hummingbird heaven, you can see them fluttering around freely in and out of the greenhouses.

Make a wish.....

Honestly, the beauty in here is surreal.

After I've wandered around and taken in the
 sights, scents and picked my strawberries....

They have a great little store for your gardening needs and more...
yup, I'm a poet.

My favourite part, their worlds famous Strawberry Sundae!!
Ok it's not famous all over the world but I promise you, it should be.
I treat myself....they make the best, BEST, BEST strawberry sundaes.
They are even generous enough to share their Strawberry Sauce recipe

It's worth the plane ticket, the hike, the drive or the walk......it's simply
WONDERFUL.
