I am NOT a shoe girl.

You may be one of those 'shoe' girls, the ones that Ooooo & ahhhhhh
 over shoes they see in the store window, online or on others.
Me, I am not one of 'those' girls. 
UNTIL NOW!!!!!!!!!

Isn't she beautiful? She's all mine...... *sigh*
I bought these about a month ago and paid more money than I would normally pay for a pair of sandals, I'm more of a 9.99 flip flop kinda gal.
These caught my eye in a clothing store, hanging on the wall.
Alone maybe? Honestly, I'm pretty sure my tunnel vision kicked in because I didn't see anything in that store...only these sandals.
 I didn't notice anything else but these twinkling under the retail spotlights.
I swear I just floated in the air over to them, it was similar to the movies when the rest of the world stops and I'm the only one moving.

Then all of a sudden ............screech
 (like the needle going across a vinyl record)
89.99 ??? Has the Queen autographed them? 89.99???
No way would I EVER pay that much for a sandal, 
a new foot maybe but a sandal??
I walked away with my sister, biting my lip contemplating a crazy purchase, totally out of character for me...should I? Shouldn't I?
My sister pulled me back to reality, made me feel better about not spending $100.....she's good like that.

But they were still in the back of my mind.
Like unicorns & fairies, these were not a reality.
Why was I yearning for those?
 That wasn't me, I've never done that before,  if I could live barefoot I would. Right there and then I knew. I knew what it felt like to be one of THOSE girls that are obsessed with shoes.
You have to admit, that perhaps in the past a Greek Godess wore something similar....ahhhhhhh...swoon.....

Then it happened......
I walked into a big box shoe store, the world froze as I rose up and floated to the twinkling gems. Unicorns & rainbows, fairies taunting me
 'buy them, 'buy them'.
Then all of a sudden ............screech
 (like the needle going across a vinyl record-again!)
 I sighed as I flipped them over...$54.99, that's $35.00 cheaper. "hmmm"
I pulled them out of the box, put them on secretly wishing they were uncomfortable, $55 for sandlals was still alot of moola.
They looked so pretty on and the felt good - darn it!
I walked around the store wearing them while I shopped for flip flops.
They still felt good.....*phfft* I turned to my sister. 
She started talking me out of them, "comfy now but they will fall apart after wearing them twice, $55, gems will fall off, $55, rope sole will probably hurt my feet, $55" - she was doing a good job at turning me. I digressed.

But then............. something happened.
My sister saw the twinkle from my eyes disappear, 
my smile fade and the change in my demure.
"Wellllllll" she said.
"If you wear them only once a week over the next 11 weeks, that's only $5.00 a wear"  Hmmm... I thought, corners of my mouth staring to turn up.
"If you wear them once a week in May, June, July & August, 16 weeks approximately $3.50 a wear" and then the kicker "If someone said would you like to wear these gorgeous sandals today? I'll only charge you $3.50 to wear them all day long....
" Ok, Ok..... "You're good" I giggled with delight.
"Besides" she said all proud of herself "I'm sure you'll wear them more than once a week". I was satisfied and they were coming home with me!

So to all you 'Shoe Fanatics',
 it's normal to have a photo of sandals as my screen saver.....right?
