FoodSaver 4400 - sounds so high tech. I was recently asked if I would review this product and of course I jumped all over it!
This is the FoodSaver 2-IN-1 Preservation System series 4400.
These are the features
  • 2-in-1 Sealing System
  • Built-in retractable handheld sealer seals zipper bags, canisters, containers and marinates food in minutes
  • Fully automatic operation
  • Moist/Dry food settings for optimal sealing
  • Pull-out drip tray drawer with patented, removable, dishwasher-safe drip tray

Now let me tell you about my experience.

A year ago I was also asked to review a FoodSaver HERE & HERE and it was love at first sight, I've been using it on a regular basis since then. Now they have this new model, sleek, easy to use and attractive enough to leave on the counter. I fell in love all over again and let me tell you why.

1. I love that it stores your roll for you and... a big AND...it has a built in cutter, thats so awesome!

2. You just feed your roll or bag into the bottom, it senses its there and seals & vacuums without closing and snapping any lids. Easy Peasy!

3. Its a nice looking unit, stainless steel finish, easy to clean pull out drip tray and as I said before sleek enough to leave on your counter.

So those are the top 3 reasons I really like this new FoodSaver, FoodSaver 4400 that is....I say it like this, foodSAVAHHH 4400, yeah
I'm strange that way!

I decided that I should do up some freezer meals for those busy summer days, some things that are just easy to whip up.

I made some Breakfast Burritos...oh yeah, one never made it to be vacuum packed, I ate it - yum! I also made up some Greek Chicken, Stir Fry Beef, Beef Strps & Stuffed Green Peppers.
I really wanted to see how it would handle the wet, the dry and the bulky.    It performed perfectly.

This Foodsave has a little attachment to use with the Foodsaver bags.

Somehow...magically it seals itself and doesn't leak... I tested it.

It has this cool little retractable cord, something like a vacuum cleaner cord, a little tug and it pulls itself back in.... the little things thrill me.
This piece comes apart for easy cleaning and instructions say to dry thoroughly - but how? I just let mine air dry before putting away.

I forgot to mention, the cord stores meatly underneath the unit, again it's the little things, it's well designed.

The recipes with sauces were all just tossed in the zipper bag, sealed, massaged (to blend all the flavours) and then sealed. This marinade feature is great when you're in a hurry and don't have the time to wait 6 or more hours, 10 minutes or so and voila!

No mess, no fuss.

I sealed the Breakfast Burritos individually for single servings. I love the rolls for this very reason, you can customize your size.
So what do I think?? Hmmm what do I honestly think?
Love it !
Hubby came home from work and I was like a child with
a new toy, look at this, check this out... look at this cutter.
Neat eh?
