A different way of life.

I live in a part of Ontario, Canada that many Mennonite families call home. I feel blessed to be able to take a peek into their way of life, 
a life that seems simple, yet full of hard work.

From what I've observed, most Mennonites around here 
still farm the same way they they have for generations. 
I can't recall ever seeing modern farm machinery being used.

I do see some families in their traditional clothing in black vehicles, 
usually vans shopping at local grocery & thrift stores. 
Sometimes I'll see a horse tied up outside a bank or post office.

The past and present together

Once again, I count myself lucky to take in these views on a regular basis.
