I created the art in the above photo & I have added a tutorial but I wanted to share what inspired me & drum roll......... here it is. The link is attatched if you want to check out A Beautiful Mess. So a few months back i was on the hunt for a colourful canvas, I get something in my head & I JUST HAVE TO DO IT! I searched high & low & couldn't find a thing & then.....cha ching ! A 50% off sale at Goodwill. I scooped this baby up for $5.00
Once the letters were down & I was happy with my layout, I gave the letters a little extra rub to ensure the paint didnt leak in under them. When everything was almost all dry I grabbed my handy dandy tweezers, the same kind you would use on your eye brows or to remove a sliver & then I started peeling off the letters. Look what happened , UGH ! LEAKAGE !! I kept peeling away hoping for the best but foreseeing a 'FAIL' Not only did the paint bleed under the letters but when I was removing the letters I was also taking off some of the original print, there was some type of super sonic adhesive on those letters. I decided to use my trusty Sharpie & add shadow lines to the letters, it gave them a somewhat 3 dimensional look. and now I'm happy with the way it turned out, Mr Sharpie you haven't let me down yet. I sprayed the whole thing with Krylon, Acrylic Crystal Clear GLOSS. Ta Da !!! I love it After making the 'Do All Things With Love' piece I found a super colourful print at Salvation Army .99, so I made another....... .99 woohoo!! BE HAPPY, oh I AM !
