FAITH sign

My creative juices haven't been flowing much in the last little while. Sure, I've been cooking, posting some delicious recipes but I was in the mood, in the mood to get my hands a little dirty and dig through my stash of 'stuff' and create.

So I had this board, about 8" x 18" and it's been calling my name for awhile now. I hid the board under a blanket to muffle it's calls....
"Do something with me....."  yeah...it was calling!

The weirdest things can inspire someone and my inspiration was a cardinal, a dead cardinal in fact. The great thing about having a window in my kitchen that is a bit larger than 4'x6' is well.... having this beautiful view into the backyard. being able to watch the birds, the squirrels, chipmunks, deer and more....the nature & wildlife is amazing. The bad thing about having this window is that a cardinal flew into it and died the other day, it breaks my heart, That poor cardinal got me thinking about birds, bird graphics, a sign with a bird on it.....  that's how my mind works.

I cried almost all day for this sweet red bird, so beautiful, so sad.
So I created this......

I painted the board, printed out some words and this beautiul bird graphic and got to work.

Using letters from my scrapbooking stash, modge podge and a sharpie this sign was created and I'm so excited with the results.

It's just what I needed to help kick start my creativity again!
