Saying goodbye to
Benjamin Moore's colour of 2012

   I loved wythe blue HC-143. Part of their Historic Collection (HC) I thought this colour was steeped in tradition, blues, greens & grays could all be pulled from this one chip. I found this to be a friendly colour, a colour people didn't shy away from, a colour people liked to use in their homes. Oh so pretty.

   This is soft, sunny, happy and lemony, meet Benjamin Moore's colour of 2013 Lemon Sorbet 2019-60. (applause here). Being in the design industry for so many years I have found that many people shy away from yellows. I think yellow is a colour you either LOVE or HATE and it doesn't seem to matter if it's Lemon Sorbet, sunflower, mustard or school bus yellow, yellows scare alot of people.
   Lemon Sorbet is a crisp & clean yellow, a pure colour for a fresh start to 2013. Yellows capture the joy of sunshine and communicates happiness. It is perfect for kitchens, dining rooms, and bathrooms, where happy colors are energizing and uplifting. In halls, entries, and small spaces, yellow can feel both expansive and welcoming

   Take a peek because I think that this happy colour deserves a spot in your home, even if its just a wall? A piece of furniture? A pillow maybe?
