Looks delicious eh? <--- Canadian accent
It all starts off looking so innocent, a couple simple ingredients mixed together and then you get HOLY WOWNESS!
(I'm into making up words lately)
Sweet tomatoes, smokey bacon, creamy dressing, the spice of black pepper and a delicious bite of blue cheese.
Castello® Blue Cheeses have earned the distinction as The World's Finest Danish Blue Cheese in multiple competitions over decades. Castello® has been making Blue Cheese since 1893.
II was telling friends about the cheese testing I was doing (they were all so jealous!), friends and family all said that Castello® is their preferred brand. I love the internet, it's so easy to find information about your favourite products. Go to the Castello® website and look up their HISTORY, FAQ, AWARDS and fantastic RECIPES.
They even have a castle in Copenhagen built in the 17th century by a King. I can't tell you all the interesting details, you have to check it out yourself!
Ok, back to the salad !!
Doesn't it look pretty?
I know it looks all fancy schmancy, but it's super duper easy.
Click on the pictures to make them larger - oh yeah!
I haven't included a recipe here because it's just that simple.
Iceburg lettuce cut into wedges
Splendido tomatoes or any other tasty grape tomato
Bacon , I always cook my bacon like THIS.
Creamy dressing, I prefer ranch but blue cheese is yummy too.
Crumbled Castello® Blue Cheese
Fresh gound pepper
Use as much or as little as you want of the ingredients.
Serve nice and cold!
What I like to do is drizzle some balsamic vinegar over top as well...YUM!
Fig flavoured..... YUM x 2
There you have it! It's so scrumptious I ate this one right after taking the phots and then I had another for dinner and i want another one tonight :)
