How adorable are these?
I pulled out my crafting stash and just went about decorating these baby food jars. You could use any old jars, different shapes and sizes would be cute too but I had lots of these on hand. Have you ever been to PICMONKEY?
It's a fun site for ediing your photos, creating fun tempates and more. My snowman at my front entrance was greeting people with an armful of peppermint patties and they looked so boring, I knew I had to jazz 'em up a bit.
I have a story to tell you.....
I made my sister inlaw one of these ornaments in memoriy of her mom that passed away, she was deeply touched, it was beautiful. I had some ornaments left so I offered them to an online group I belong to and WELL..... the amount of peole wanting them was overwhelming. I picked up more supplies and made 60. continued..... I've seen this idea all over Pinterest and I've wanted to do it for awhile and now it's Christmas so it's the perfect time. I didn't read anyones 'how to' that's kinda how I roll.
I had seen these on Pinterest and thought it would be a fun craft to do with my nieces aged 9 & 12. Friday was a PD day so they were off school and it was perfect! Now the fun begins......
I know there are the 'wood lovers' out there and then there are the 'paint it' people and I say the world is big enough for both of us. If you have furniture that you know longer like or no longer fits in your decor, why not paint it and love it again.
i went outside my confort zone to create this old world piece. I don't usually distresses my furniture this heavily but i thought...why not.
This 4 drawer chest was just waiting for something different and i gave it a whole new look. Three coats of paint, cream, sage greens and a soft gray and then the distressing to so the various colours. Well, I'm just so happy about how my Rooster Chair turned out!
Years ago I came across this Paula Deen Rooster Chair and loved it, but didn't love the price tag of almost $2000 - crazy right? |
